EHab.

Ehab Abdulla is a Maldivian artist who transforms his experience of Malé’s urban chaos into vibrant paintings.

Heavily influenced by American art and music of the 1960s and 70s, along with modern art and Neo-expressionism, his work reflects the interplay between periods of intense creative energy and quiet contemplation.

Common Place

This collection is from a quieter time in my emotional landscape. The frenetic energy of mania from my last exhibition is giving way to contemplative moments, from periods of stability and introspection, as well as the depths of depression. Each piece is a part of my ongoing relationship with bipolar; an attempt at artistic expression of my inner world.
